Annual conference is not far now!

“The 2017 Annual Conference is getting closer. Places are filling up so if you want to attend, please book quickly. All the rooms in the Hilton have gone but there are details of alternatives on the website. Those who have already booked, we will let you know later this week how to select your workshops. It is going to be a great event.

The agenda and papers for the AGM have been posted on the website. Even if you are not planning to attend, take a look. You can catch up on what’s happening within ADSO and see how well your membership fees and the other income we generate are being managed.

I am looking forward to attending the SOLAR Conference on 10th November in Glasgow along with 9 other ADSO members. We are leading on two workshops and I know it’s going to be a successful day.

Before that however, I will be at the Council and its Governance Arrangements training course in Leicester on Monday 6th. After a slow start, I’m pleased to say that the course is now full. As I’ve said many times, it’s important that we continue to run courses outside London so a big thank you for your support.

Finally, another big thank you to Sarah Sprung and Nick Pountney from Staffordshire CC for stepping in to run the ADSO session at the Scrutiny in Challenging times seminar at INLOGOV. I really appreciate this as i am doubled booked with the  SOLAR seminar. It is good to see ADSO in demand.

Have a good week.

Best wishes

John
