Thanks to Matt, East Midlands Board Member

I am sorry to say that Matt Kane, regional representative from the East Midlands, has resigned from that post. Some of you will know that Matt moved into the NHS last year and the pressure of his new role has meant that he understandably has not been able to devote the time he would like to ADSO. We all owe Matt a huge vote of thanks for his work and commitment to ADSO from the very early days. He has built up an excellent region in the East Midlands and he will be missed both there and at Board meetings. I wish him all  the very best for the future.

That then leads me to seek expressions of interest to replace Matt as the regional representative. Training and support will be given. It is a great opportunity to get involved in ADSO and have a real influence in how our association develops. For more details and how to apply click here or If you are interested, but would like an informal chat, then please either give me a call (07793 013616) or e mail me at john.austin@adso.co.uk

I represented ADSO on Friday 30 June at the launch of Kirklees Democracy Commission’s report. It was an excellent event and something which ADSO was very pleased to be part of. We had given evidence to the Commission earlier in the process. If you are interested in the Commission’s findings, then please visit www.democracycommission.org.uk.

ADSO are at the LGA Conference in Birmingham this week with Modern Gov, if you are attending, come by and say hello.

Have a good week

John
