Newsletter intro from Pete Savage, Company Secretary
I’m looking forward to my second Board Meeting later this week. We are holding it at the venue for this year’s conference, The Holiday Inn in Filton, Bristol. Our main discussion will be around sorting out an exciting and informative programme for that Conference. Papers for the Board Meeting will be added to our website as soon as practicable.
Once again elections are upon many ADSO members. This can be an exciting and/or challenging time for Democratic Services Officers, and ADSO offers unique support for members both in terms of training and forums. Members should take advantage of the knowledge and experience of others.
Finally I’d like to turn to membership issues. We try to ensure that members gain membership privileges as soon as possible, but I continue to be surprised at the number of ad hoc queries that I receive from members who don’t get signed quickly. If you know of people struggling to gain access, please don’t hesitate to contact me at peter.savage@adso.co.uk.
