Weekly update from John Lynch, Director of Finance

Hi Everyone

I hope you are all keeping warm as the temperature has really dropped.

Remote Meetings
ADSO and LLG have issued a Press Release which reiterates our calls for councils to be able to meet remotely as the omicron Covid variant spreads in England:

ADSO-LLG Press Release – Remote meetings – 1 December 2021

extension: pdf

The Press Release has been picked up by both The Local Government Chronicle and the Municipal Journal in this week’s editions. You can read both articles on our ‘ADSO in the news’ webpage.  We will continue to lobby and put pressure on Government until they take action.

ADSO AGM and Awards Ceremony
If you want to watch a recording of the AGM & Awards Ceremony, there is a recording of this on the following page on the website:  https://www.adso.co.uk/adso-awards-2021/

Thank you to all those who completed feedback forms on this year’s conference. We will be reviewing both the conference and the Awards evening at our Board meeting on Friday and planning on what we do for 2022.
