The Role:-
This role offers an interesting opportunity to work in a high profile area supporting the Council’s decision-making and governance arrangements, working closely with senior officers, councillors and the Elected Mayor.

You will work as part of a team at the heart of the democratic process, assisting in the provision of an effective and efficient committee administration service and scrutiny function. You will be required to give advice on matters relating to Local Government legislation and the Council’s Constitution.

What we are looking for:-
Ideally you will have experience in Local Government committee administration; the ability to write clear and concise minutes to a good standard of English; a keen eye for detail and be able to work to tight deadlines. You will also have excellent IT skills and preferably have had experience with the committee software.

We are looking for a confident person able to balance many priorities. You will need to be flexible and prepared to help cover other Democratic Services Officers’ meetings if required.

The work involves attendance at evening meetings for which an allowance is paid.
