The Post
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join Brent’s Governance Team, who have been highly commended by the Association of Democratic Services in their Team of the Year Awards. This is a great opportunity to work with Councillors, senior officers, partners and our residents at the heart of the Council’s decision making process.

Able to demonstrate an understanding of the local democratic process with experience of administering meetings, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of bodies, including those where the public play an active role. The job involves advising and working closely with elected councillors and senior officers.

The Person
We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who is well organised and able to work on their own initiative. Responsible for a busy and varied workload, you will need experience in managing meetings along with excellent communication, IT and team working skills. You will also need the ability to work flexibly and meet tight deadlines and an innovative approach to service delivery.
