Salary: £30,627 – £40,482
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated person with strong communication and organisational skills to join our Democratic and Electoral Services Team, working together to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the service.
As well as having experience in administering committee meetings, you should be adept with IT packages, ideally with experience of Modern.gov and/or Xpress software.

There is no formal line management responsibility but the postholder will be required to supervise
temporary staff as required.
Purpose and Scope:
The main purpose of the role should be viewed within the context of the four priorities identified by the Council:
• Keeping neighbourhoods clean, green and safe
• United and Involved Communities
• Supporting and protecting people who are most in need
• Supporting our Town Centre, our local shopping centres and businesses
This is a politically restricted post within the meaning of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989, which means
that you must not be actively engaged in politics while employed by the Council.
Within this context, the main purpose of this post is to assist with the planning, management and co-ordination of the overall business of meetings of the Council’s main Committees and other bodies and the maintenance of the Electoral Register and delivery of all elections.
