We’re looking for a Chief Executive Officer to deliver on our ambitious plans for ADSO’s future.
This is an exciting opportunity to take a leadership role in the Association of Democratic Services Officers – a local democracy membership organisation which is growing in scale, influence, and impact.
We’re at a key point in ADSO’s development. We now represent a growing community of over 1,500 people working in the local democracy sector, across 320 councils in England and Wales.
Working with our members, we have recently developed and approved a three-year strategy. We’re now seeking an exceptional operational leader to deliver on this plan.
Our Chief Executive will contribute to all aspects of the organisation’s development. The main focus of this new role will be on:
- Developing our business strategy, promoting the vision and culture of ADSO and making sure we provide high quality support to our members.
- Overseeing the daily operations of the organisation, working closely with the ADSO Board and providing support and guidance to colleagues.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with our members and key stakeholders, and extending our networks across the wider democracy sector.
- Being the ‘voice’ of ADSO when required, representing the Association at regional, national and international events and highlighting the positive outcomes of our members’ work.
- Creating new opportunities for the Association, including ways of increasing income and membership.
