Weekly message from Wayne Chandai, Director of Communications

So another interesting week in UK politics, and as detailed in the democracy direct, the Cabinet reshuffle was originally trailed as heralding major changes to departmental structures and recognition of climate change as an issue meriting significant status within those structures, however the reshuffle will be remembered for the resignation of Chancellor Savid Javid as the PM centralises financial control within No10.

I would like to thank all those who have responded to our members survey.  The responses so far are extremely useful and will help inform how we design our support and services to youIt’s so important that as many members as possible contribute their views on the future of ADSO, so please  complete the survey if you haven’t already.

I am pleased to announce that East Midlands Councils were successful in tendering for the management of our training programme,  a number of you have been in touch about details for the programme this year which will be released shortly. We look forward to working with East Midlands Councils.

We have been contacted by a number of you asking about the discount code for the 8th Edition of Knowles on Local Authority Meetings which had expired. They have reinstated the discount code which is “ADSO8” please note that the O is not a zero.

In the meantime, LLG are running an Essential Leadership Skills Conference and it’s being held on 9th March in London. The details of the event are here:
