This weeks update from Wayne, Director of Communications
Hope all those that were working on elections have had a chance to get some rest over the sunny bank holiday and ready for those member training and induction sessions. Speaking of training sessions, we still have places left on our “Effective Scrutiny Officer” training courses in Ealing and Birmingham on the 29th June. see below for details.
The website is our main portal to our members and i am glad that it is used so well. Over the coming weeks i will be making some improvements mainly around the regional pages, updating some back office functions and ensuring GDPR compliance. I also wanted to say thank you to those who regularly post their questions, views and experiences on the members forum. I consider this a real asset for our members and i am sure that you can find an answer to most queries relating to democratic services!
Modern.Gov have been amazing supporters of ADSO and are currently our main sponsor. This two year agreement comes to an end in June 2018, shortly we will be going to tender for a new main sponsor and will share details in the coming weeks.
I am already looking ahead to the annual conference and thanks to those that have submitted ideas. There is still time so please do get in touch if you have any more suggestions, this is your conference. wayne.chandai@adso.co.uk
