Weekly update from Sue Keogh, Director of Development

This week’s news is all about personal and professional development and some of the opportunities offered by ADSO and its partners.

Firstly, as part of the planning for this year’s conference, I am delighted to say that we will have 20 completed learners collecting their certificates at conference – the most ever! Some of them are from the final cohort of the old qualifications and some from the first cohort of the new Certificate. It  is always a highlight of conference for me. I would like to thank their Assessors for their hard work and support in helping the learners to complete.

Secondly, it is the time of year when we start to plan next year’s training programme so if you have any ideas as to what should be included, please contact me at sue.keogh@adso.co.uk A reminder that, although we run the majority of our courses in London and the Midlands, we are always happy to run an event in any of the regions if there are enough delegates wanting to attend.

One of our partners, South East Employers are running a two day Advanced Committee Administration programme which is aimed at practitioners and managers with 18 months to 5 years experience. This programme has everything you need to help you develop in the role of Committee Administrator and aims to provide you with the skills and knowledge to carry out your role effectively. This is an excellent opportunity to share good practice with each other and learn from experienced practitioners. Course dates are 14th – 15th November 2018 and it is being held at the LB Wandsworth. The cost is £399 plus VAT per delegate from member organisations and £430 plus VAT per delegate from non-member organisations. For more information or to book a place, please visit the South East Employers website: https://www.seemp.co.uk/event-directory/

ADSO is also pleased to support the LG Challenge 2019.
