We continue to plan for this years annual conference, there are still some places left so do book your place if you have not already. We are extending the early bird offer until the 14th September. Have a look at the details here:

Centre for Public Scrutiny and Lawyers in Local Gov (LLG) will be facilitating workshops, we will also be hearing from colleagues who have dealt with some particularly challenging circumstances. CMIS, Link Support and Public i are sponsoring the event and our main association sponsors Modern Gov will also be there.

Thank you to all those that made submissions for this years ADSO Awards, the quality of the submissions are excellent and the panel will have a tough time deciding.

Training and development

“Council and its Governance arrangements” training course at Tower Hamlets is now fully booked , but there are still places at Staffordshire. We have also started to accept bookings for our “just a minute” training course being held at LB Ealing and Sheffield City Council on the 10th and 9th October.

Opportunity

ADSO is increasingly receiving requests to carry out consultancy work for Authorities and, this is due to the success and continued growth of ADSO. In order to meet this demand, we are looking to extend our pool of consultants. If you are interested in becoming an Associate Consultant for the Association, or know anyone who might be, please send a copy of your CV to sue.keogh@adso.co.uk , together with an email outlining your areas of expertise and experience and your capacity to take on consultancy work.
